870 Bushmaster ?

Can anyone tell me something about the Remington 870 Bushmaster ?

It has the same fit and finish of a Wingmaster, but the previous owner guarantees it's a Bushmaster.

I have an old picture of it. On the other side, it's written 870 MAGNUM.

The serial # is W389***M.
My guess is that's a Wingmaster. Even because the serial starts with "W" :)

"Bushmaster" is close, but the actual name was the Remington 870 "BRUSHmaster".

The "Brushmaster" was an 870 available in 12 or 20 gauge, 20" inch Improved Cylinder or Rem-Choke barrel, blued with satin finish wood.

The "Brushmaster" was intended to be used in areas where only smooth bore shotguns shooting rifled slugs or buckshot were allowed.

It was introduced in 1985 and discontinued in 1994.

"Good shotgun...."

Yep.
If you get right down to it, the Brushmaster was basically a Police model with a commercial, glossy finish.
