Don't forget it's a 20-ga and Remingtons can be confusing. If the serial number ends in K or U then use a LW 20 ga stock, if it ends in X or N use a 12 ga. stock. Better yet, try before you buy!
That's some important info zippy offered- Remington has used two different receiver sized for 20 gauge guns. The older 20 gauge 870s were made on 12 gauge sized frames, as indicated. The key is the receiver codes, indicated by the last letter in the serial number.
