8 round revolver?

Hi Folks !

I was recently at the range shooting my 357 and chatted with some more experienced gentlemen who mentioned that an 8 round revolver was being tested by Ruger and S&W. Does anybody know if there is any truth to this?

Hi coaster - there may be a new one coming out now, but S&W has had this guy for a little while at least, the 627 Performance Center:

It's a 5" barreled large (N) frame revolver in .357 Magnum. I have rented it - very nice gun. :D

I own the 608

COASTER, in addition to the model 627 there's also the S&W 327, a cute little 8-rounder.

I own (and love) the Taurus model 608, a steel, 8-round, .357 magnum revolver.
 
Ruger may be looking at it (though I doubt it), but S&W and Taurus have had them on the market for quite a few years.
 
Not only is it true, but what calibur would you like? .357 mag/.38 spcl or 38 super. Both have been available for some time.
