7mm-08 Accuracy

I'm interested in a good rifle caliber with 300 yard hunting capability for deer. I'm told the 7mm-08 is good and has lite recoil and has the accuracy of the 243 or 308. Has anyone used the 7mm-08? How accurate is it ? How is the recoil? Is it as good as the 243 in accuracy? Thanks for the input
 
There is no reason I know of why a 7mm-08 would not be highly accurate. Any problems would be in the gun itself, not the cartridge.

That cartridge looks to me like a handloader's dream...

I was wild cating the 308 back in the 70s for metallic stiletto and had a couple of my rifles win the national championships shooting the 708 At the time we had some thick jacketed 160 gr bullets and we didn't have the trouble ringing the sheep that we were having with the thin jacketed 190 gr 308s. It was every bit as accurate as the 308
