700 5R ejector staying recessed

Brand new 5r. Have shot 16 rds. My handloads, the brass is hard to extract, and on some, the ejector stays recesed into bolt. Have to pick the brass out of rifle. Maybe just needs some breaking in? My handloads might be a bit off, and maybe some brass off the casings is fouling the ejector area (maybe). any ideas?

What do your primers look like? Sounds like a classic case of too much pressure. If rounds are loaded to too high of pressure, the cases will be hard to extract, and some brass can "flow" into ejector hole. When the bolt is opened, the brass that enters the ejector hole gets sheared off and can jam the ejector.

When loading for a new rifle, it is very important to work up carefully and gradually from starting loads in a reputable manual or other reliable source.
