7 X 57 (7MM) Barrel

TABING

I have a 1908 Brazilian contract Mauser in 7MM, with a short barrel. It ain't no collectable as it's pretty dinged up, but it's a handy little piece that's fun to carry around the Sonoran desert here in Tucson.
The barrel is pretty well shot out/corroded and I want to replace it. (I once accidentally shot a .308 through it with no repercussions) Any suggestions on a Smith and a barrel in the Southern Arizona area.
I used Frank Wells to replace a stock on my Partker 12 ga. He's good, but a bit expensive.

Tabing. There's a fellow that frequents the Tucson gun shows with all kinds of Mauser parts. He has replacement 7X57MM barrels that are purported to be new and unfinished.(In the white) I think his prices run around $40 to $50 and installation, headspacing and blueing would be the only costs. I've used Lawson, but like Wells, he ain't cheap neither.
