7.82 Warbird vs. .30-.378 Weatherby.

Are there any opinions about the benefits of one over the other cartridge. Velocity, accuracy, etc. Any and all opinions welcome. Thanks, mnmark.

The Weatherby rifle will be cheaper than the Lazzaroni, but I think I saw an ad somewhere where Sako was going to make a Warbird-reamed rifle and they already make a 30-378 (my local gun shop has two).

Both will need an owner who reloads otherwise you are paying a fortune in ammo. Brass for the Weatherby will be cheaper though (Cabela's and Midway stock it).

Velocity and energy, they will both be very comparable but with Weatherby's "free-bore" and its cartridge rim - the Lazzaroni should be theoritically more accurate.
