7.62x54r chamber inserts?

Recently I've been kicking around the idea of buying a chamber insert for my mosin nagant, purely as a novelty thing. Does anyone have any experience with these? Also If I end up deciding to get one, which caliber should I pick? I know there's a couple you can pick from, like 7.62x25, .32 acp, and others. The main reason I am asking which caliber to pick is because I've heard that specifically with the 7.62x25 one, the round can get stuck pretty good inside the insert, not sure if this is true or not.

you may or may not have heard that from me but I had that problem with both the 303 and 7.62x54R inserts for 7.62x25. I ended up having to oil each casing before I put them in the insert and then make an improvised shell extractor with a small hammer, small steel rod and a block of wood with a hole drilled in it just the right diameter to let the tokarev case run through it while being too small for the 54R or 303 insert to run through it.

it was an alright novelty item, not a horrible way to spend $10 and it pretty much gives you a similar experience to muzzle loading. maybe mine were defective, either way, I accidentally crushed the 303 one and got tired of shooting tokarev single feed so I sold the 54R and all my tokarev ammo. naturally they are single feed only, you can't get five and load your mosin nagant with them and have a full magazine of 30 tokarev, they wont feed from the mag.

also, 30 tok from a 31 inch barrel is very quiet, like shooting a 22.

As usual, thanks for the info tahunua. I think for $10 I'll just go ahead and buy one, I won't mind having to pop each one out after each shot I don't think. The 7.62x25 one sounds good to me because my LGS has a ton of that ammo.

I bought some that fired .32ACP out of 7.5 French and 7.762x54R. No doubt judicious reloading would improve accuracy, they do allow for gallery shooting
and getting familiar with a rifle.
