7.62x39 ammo comparison

I hope I'm in the right area for this. I wanted to know if the accuracy of the .223 using steel core ammo is comparable to the 7.62 with steel core. I've heard of 1 or 2 minute groups at 500 yeards with the .223. I wanted to know if you could expect the same with 7.62

I'm sure the round would be reasonalbley accurate but I have never seen a AK or SKS with a match barrel.
Most rifles for the 7.62X39 are about 3 minute guns with any round you feed them, there have been some match rifles built around the round but not many.
