6mmAR loads?

Any other 6mmAR shooters out there?.....I've trolled around the internet in search of load data.....found a little at the expected places....6mmAR.com and the 65Grendel site but would like more.

What's shooting well out of your rifles?

I have the dies and literal thousands of bullets so I seriously thought about it. I found some loading info, its out there, seems like it could be a good shorter-ish range round.

Of course a wild cat wouldn't have any published loads from any manufacturers....that's the whole reason I posed the question......I've read everything there is to read on the WWW about it but hoped someone who has actually loaded for and shot the round might provide some additional load data on top of what I've already gleaned from searching.

A little info on my upper: It was built by Sabreco with an 8 twist, 26" Hart barrel.....I believe it originally came from Robert Whitley's web site 6mmAR.com.

So far I've loaded 105 grain Hornady HPBT's with 8208XBR, H4895 and R15....also have some 87 grain Vmax's loaded up.....Got a prairie dog shoot coming up and I need to get rolling on this bad boy.

How about we trailblaze this caliber for the site Chainsaw.? ......We need some excitement around here....the same questions about the same calibers/products asked for 10 or 15 years straight has grown stale.....Maybe we need a new category for wild cats to liven things up a bit?

I have a TAC6 wildcat. 6mm wildcat based off 6.8 brass. $249 for a barrel. Sweet little round too. AR15 Performance has the barrels. He also has the dies available too. From the guy who designed it:

This was my idea of a perfect tactical cartridge 0-600yds with ease. It is capable of shooting super light bullets at small varmints, 75gr bullets at yotes, 95-108gr long range target bullets and 80-90gr hunting bullets at deer and hogs. The Tac 6 with 105gr Bergers will hit around 2700fps out of an 18"barrel. The TAC 6 will beat the ballistics of the 224 Valkyrie, 240 Valkyrie and the 6.5 Grendel.

He's got another 6mm wildcat based off the Grendel too.

So my question, when is a big ammo manufacturer going to come out with a 6mm AR round? I wouldn't be surprise to see Federal do it, since their .224 Valkyrie has been so successful.

I have no doubt that it will happen soon Ed....it's an obvious variation that just screams for some attention that's for sure.
