686p Speedloaders and Moonclips???

I know that for the 686 there are speedloaders, moonclips, and holsters available. However, I am not so sure about the 686p and my searches on google have not found anything.

The advantage of one extra round is moot if it will take you 4 times as long to reload, this is why I am very interested in knowing if there are any speedloaders or moonclip conversions for the 686p and if so where I can get them.

I am also interested in knowing if, and where, there are any good holsters for the 686p that I could use to open carry the firearm with.

Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

Moonclips for 686P - huh?

What sort of ammo is used in the 686P with moonclips? I thought that the moonclips were for the rimless semiauto rounds and fit into the groove?

CarbineCaleb- It would still use regular .357 / .38 ammo. Some folks have their revolvers set up to use full moon clips just because they prefer them for loading / unloading versus speedloaders or loose cartridges.

Maddening Moonies

Hmmm... tales of raw and/or lacerated fingers, sales of special moonclip extraction tools used to avoid the problems, etc. have been enough to convince me to avoid moonclips as "fun". :p Speedloaders - yes, moonclips - no.

I'll let you know soon

I am waiting for a revolver to come home from 10 ring in San Antonio...
started life as a 686p factory model..and is coming home cut for moon clips and some other work...the cut is done like that to be seen at
www.tkcustom.com
and permits use of moonclips...speedloaders and plain old 1 or 2 at a time hand reloading...and so is ther maximum versatility available...
contact ten ring if live south of mason dixon and tk if north I guess...
