686 Price Check

I was in my local pawn shop the other day and they had a 686-? for sale for $375. It locked up tight. It had wood medallion grips. It has been so long since I have bought a gun I don't remember what they are going for. But this sweet little 4 inch would fit my collection nicely so as always any help is appreciated.

Hard to say for sure without knowing more deails about condition, options, dash/ser #, etc but generally speaking , 686's seem to run in the $300-$425 range. I paid $300 for my baisc 4" and $400 for my 6" Hunter version . hth

I agree with Tacoma's price range , got a like new 4 inch for $390 last year , I am in area where the prices run on the high side.
It's a nice revolver .

My brother just bought a NIB 686 (4") for alittle over $500. If your 686 is in very good shape for $375 that seems fair.

I recently sold a LNIB 686 at auction for $528.00. The buyer got an excellent revolver. My 686 2 1/2 is worth more than $500 to me. Guess that's why it's not for sale.

If yours is at least 95% I'd say you got a very good deal.;)

I just saw a 686 4" go for $290 at the last Lima Ohio gun show.It was in very good shape. It was sitting on a table too,I might add.He was asking $300 for it.

$399 is the going rate at the local shop by me. They had a few at that price, and a few used for a little over that.
