640 no-lock engraved! :)

Just got home with a very handsome revolver that I have had on layaway for many months. S&W apparently read my mind and made me a 640 with no lock and even did a bit of nice factory engraving! Pics to come later tonight. Cant wait to shoot this one.
It came with two boxes, a regular blue plastic one and a nice wood presentation box. Idk why it came with two but hey, its nice to have. The trigger is very noticeably better than the one on my other 640. And the fit and finish are much better. Im pretty happy :D
I paid $650 otd.

Let's see that puppy. The wood presentation box comes as a separate item in it's own box, at least that's how the ones I have bought new came.

I'm a 640 fanboi and sure would like to see an engraved one.
 
the 640 is an awesome CCW. I actually have 2 of them but one is a 640-1 and the other is a 640-4 and has a lock.

the -4 I have a CT laser grip on and I am very happy with it. the -1 was a gift from my grand father before he passed and so I keep it clean and only shoot it on special occasions.
 
Where are the pics!? My EDC is a 640 no dash in .38, I like it so much I plan on getting another one also in .38. I'm not a fan of airweights I love the all steel. Blows my mind why they don't make the .38 special versions of the 640, 60, and 36 anymore, pure craziness.
 
Pics are hard to upload from work, sorry I'm slacking. It is a real beauty, and yeah the mahogany box came seperately.
I guess the reason they dont make a .38 only version is that most folks that wanted to shoot .38's would just shoot them out of the magnum.
