N niekamp Inactive Aug 5, 2002 #1 Can anyone give me an approximate date of manufacture for a S&W model 629. Serial number N8366xx. It just says mod-629, no -1 or -2 or anything like that. It has a hammer mounted firing pin also, so I'm guessing its somewhat older? Thanks.
