627 transfer bar

Have owned this gun for a long time, Taurus 627 4 in. I must have a gizillion rounds threw it with out a hick-up. However since the day it was new it had a rattle. The rattle is the transfer bar. The only time it stops is after a shot and you keep the hammer down on the bar, then of course it is engaged. What do you think I should do? It dosen't seem to hurt anything but? Please shoot me your thoughts, or have others seen this happen also?
Thanks

It has to be loose like that . That's what allows it to work as it should. If it were tightend up so as not to rattle , just a little residue could allow it to bind or stick and no longer be a safety.

Shake just about any revolver with a transfer bar and you will hear it rattle. It has to have enough movement to ride up and over the firing pin then depress it. The transfer bar could be spring loaded to reduce the rattle, but that would add to the cost and would improve nothing.
Just the nature of the beast.

Thanks all. I guess I just never noticed it before. Well then I will just put another gizzilion threw it and not look back.
