625-3pc

Any one know about a Performance Center 625(circa'89)that could shoot the LC and ACP from the same cyl? Found one on the web, waiting for more info and pics from the guy...

Two problems. Forty five Colt will not head space in a 45 ACP cylinder and 45 ACP w/moon clips will not allow 45 Colt cylinder to close. Chamfer in the cylinder and the gap between the cylinder and recoil shield won't let it happen. Two cylinders are needed. Second, the first Performance Center 625 with product code 170xxx prefix did not arrive till 1997, so a 1989 era 625PC is impossible. Will suggest getting a product code from your seller. The date is definitely wrong (Performance Center was started in 1990 and the 170xxx prefix producy code did even come into existence until 1992) and the gun is either 45 Colt or 45 ACP/45 AR (auto rim).

Pretty much the same info I knew already. I Appreciate all the help. I've asked the guy for more info, but have yet, since Friday night, heard back from him. I knew the 625 was around in '89-90, But thanks for the heads up on the P.C. introduction;)

I posed the question to him " was the cyl. machined to allow moon clips in the LC cyl". This still leaves headspace, bbl setback, and bullet jump from case neck to forcing cone:confused:

There is however, a company out there that for $150, machine your cyl. to allow you to use moon clips with a .44., but only in the 629. The only thing this allows is speed loading in the field, that's it, and the Co. even states that in the article.

Well, as soon as I find out more, I'll post again.
