The Mossberg parts should all interchange. Why change? you will have to unscrew the mag tube any way, and can clean up the threads(get the sealant off) and re install after you put on the new fore arm. When you get the mag tube off you will find two rings silver soldered to the tube and a spring in front of the first one. The guns made now do not have these and will let the action tube assembly come off when you take the bolt assembly out, but they let the action tube rattle on the magazine. The hardest part is unscrewing the magazine with out damaging it. Use heat (hair dryer) and padded pliers (on the far end where the barrel bolt screws in). You will want to clamp the gun solid (being careful to not damage the frame). When you reinstall the magazine, DO NOT put lock tight back on the threads (you may need to take it off if you need to replace the mag spring), I put some grease on the threads of mine. Good luck, hope this helps.
