6.5mm 08 info

The commercial version is the .260 Remington. Friend of mine (woman) hunts with a M7 .260. There is some target shooting interest, now that good match bullets are available.
 
Thanks, my interest is solely target shooting. I' m looking into building a National Match Course bolt gun. I'm pretty new to highpower, but 6.5 mm keeps coming up as a viable caliber. Something that will get a 120gr bullet down range accurately.Question ? can I just neck down 308 brass ??
 
Brass is commercially available as are loaded cartridges.

The cartridge is called the .260 Remington.

6.5mm 08 = .260 Remington.

If you want to neck down .308 brass, it amounts to the same thing, but is more work.
