Anyone have experience with this cartridge?

I am gonna call JD tomorrow and discuss getting a barrel. Just depends on the price.

Has anyone had experience with the 6x45?

I am looking at these because the larger calibers offer higher BC and SC.
And I can use 5.56 brass.

Thanks for the input.

I shoot something very similar to the 6x45 but my cartridge is based off of the .222 Remington Magnum case. You should be able to do 3000 fps with 70 grain bullets and around 2600 with 90 grain bullets. Of course I'm pulling data from other people as my twist rate doesn't allow the use of bullets heavier than 80 grains.

Just make sure that you twist your barrel fast enough to use a wider range of bullets than I did. I got a deal on a 1:12 barrel but I should have bought a 1:10 barrel instead. I think you'll be very happy if you choose to go with the 6x45.

Lot of reloading data for the 6x45 aka 6TCU and Rem made the 40x in 6x45 also.

I've shot the 6x45 but was 6x45AI used a 1/14 twist barrel for the 68gr match bullets. Good 6mm barrels being made lot of options on barrel twist and few making tight and gain twist 6mm barrels.

Velocity is always an issue with cases like the 223/222mag necked up to 6mm just doesn't have the case capacity. Well good luck

Well I called JD at SSK Indust today, and he is selling me a barrel (with gas system installed) and the dies for 6.5 MPC.
He says the lead time is about 3 weeks.

With that said, I will be selling my 6.5 Grendel dies/ammo/brass/mags to anyone interested.
The 6.5 Grendel just sucked; it was a pain to reload and get the shoulders correct so that the brass would chamber, and brass isn't cheap. So I see the 6.5 MPC as a viable alternative since I can use my truck load of 5.56 brass to load it; offering similar ballistics.

Once I get it built, a range report will be available, as well as everything else that any curious shooters may find helpful.
