I am just getting started loading for my 6.5 and I was given a couple of boxes of 140 gr gmx bullets. I can find loading data for 140 gr A Max but none for the GMX, The GMX are monolithic . My question is, would it be safe to use the load data for the A Max or should I wait until I buy a new Hornady handbook?

Load data for solid copper bullets will be different. You should be able to find data for a similar weight Barnes bullet. I'd use that as a starting point.


Correction: Barnes doesn't offer a copper bullet at that weight. Their only 140-145 gr options are conventional lead based bullets.

Thanks for the correction and the data and I also smartened up and used the hornady app and for .99 you can get the whole caliber data...for all hornady bullets..
