What do you think about this cartridge? Will it last or is it a dead end thats going to be obsolete real soon?

It performs really well with high ballistic coefficient bullets and low recoil.... It has been received well, and seems to be infiltrating the AR-10 market as well as the bolt gun market... I'm currently having a custom rifle built in 6.5 CM, and I plan to put it through its paces... Brass is easy as it can be formed from 22-250 Remington cases... Which means I can get Lapua cases for it :D

There have been several threads on this website in the past year comparing (or bickering) about the 6.5 creedmoor vs the 260 Remington. The two are very similar. Both use 0.264 projectile, both fit in short action weapons, both have very similar velocity. For Me, the 260 would be the choice. But there are advantages to both rounds. Read the old threads before you make up your mind.

I have a .260 and love it. It's nice that it can use .243, 7mm/08, .308 family brass. Otherwise, the two (.260 and the 6.5 Creedmoor) are very similar in performance... I doubt anybody or any target would know the difference :)
