6.5 Creedmoor advice

Hello gents. Ive been really wanting a decent bolt rifle chambered in the 6.5 Creedmoor. Im just a boring paper puncher and wanted to hear some suggestions for a rifle that would be fairly affordable say in the $5-700 range that would be a good candidate for target shooting. How do you like your 6.5? Thankyou!

What distances do you plan to shoot at? Are you a reloader of shoot factory fodder. Either way 6.5 CM is a great round. And for factory ammo Hornady with the 140gr AMAX is the cats meow. And for a rifle the Savage Model 110 THXP in 6.5 CM would get a really hard look.

Thanks alot folks. I will be reloading for this cartridge. Although may buy a few boxes of factory for brass. The best distance ill be able to get is 100yds. Im not a member of a range so ill be in the back pasture for the most part. Thanks again. Ill give all of these suggestions some research!!

Certainly a capable choice, but if you aren't able to shoot over 100 yards, you can punch groups just as small with a .223 for a lot less $, at that range.

@top certainly great advice, just not really a big fan of the ol' 223. Great cartridge no doubt, just not my cup of tea.

Get the real Ruger (77), not the cheapened one. The Vanguard 2 is also considerably cheapened, though certainly better than the American.

If you don't mind a homely-looking receiver, the Savage will be a good choice - the Lady Hunter is a good looking rifle, as is the Lightweight Hunter.

Im going to have one built on a Turkish Mauser reciever I've been working on. But I'm surely gonna spend around 900.00 before optics easily...but you only live twice so....
