6.5-06 Imp ?

Dose anyone know anything about the 6.5-06 Imp? How well it shoots? I was thinking about haveing my Win,70 in 30-06 rebarreled in that caliber. Thanks

no problem finding brass, lots of beautiful, high-BC 6.5mm bullet choices, easy on recoil, and a long-legged cartridge, to boot!

I have a standard-shoulder 6.5-06, and am in the process of building a 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum.

There is little difference between the 256 Newton and the 6.5mm/06, the latter being the wildcat version. The 6.5mm/06 achieved a degree of popularity in the immediate post-WWII era because of the influx of surplus 6.5mm military rifles. This case is easy to form and will work through any
standard-length bolt action with little or no alteration.
