Howdy,
This morning was my first time shooting steel plates AND shooting outdoors. What a hoot! With my Springfield Armory 1911 at a measly 10 yds i shot only 66% (roughly).Although to be fair, I KNOW I hit the plates a little more than that, but sometimes they didn't fall-so help me! They fell slowly after some hits
With my S&W 586 and 5-inch barreld Model 10 I was shooting something like 95%! i'm interested at getting into IDPA and feel more comfortable shooting my wheelguns, and they told me that wheelguns are popular in local competitions (Hey, this is Jerry Miculeks' backyard, literally).
Trouble is..my wallet would be twice as comfortable with 9mm ammo!
Decisions, decisions. Ammo prices be damned, If I could score a Colt Diamondback or 4-inch Python, I'd have a REAL ball!
I'll check in later; I'm back out to the range. Boy this outdoor shooting at plates rocks! Forgive my enthusiasm, but i wanted to share it with ya'll
Respectfully,
Larry C.
