I found some 55gr 243 dogtown bullets at a gunshow and decided I would give them a try (they were cheap) My question is what load data would one use for these.

I think it is generally accepted practice to start at the "starting load" data from a reputable loading manual and slowly increase powder charges until you find maximum safe pressure for your rifle, not to exceed the "maximum load" data from your manual.

Start with data for 58 grain if you can't find 55 grain data. Be careful what burn rate powder you're using since this light weight doesn't provide much resistance.

I believe the hodgdon website has some data on 55 grain bullets. I load some 55 grain nosler BT for a friends .243 with IMR 4895.
