501-440RF lee mold boolit problems.

made a few boolits for my S&W500mag... lee mold..size .501-440RF...ran them thru a .501 sizer... when I seated them in the cases..they seemed to be very tight...to the point that they seem to large of diameter...I looked for a .500 sizer and didnt find one...when I chambered the bullets they were in fact..just a hair oversized it seems...some will not chamber at all...how can they be too large if they were sized?? any help fellas?? :(:(
 
Well... ran the casts thru the sizer again,,this time upside down,,and I also set the die a little lower and used a small crimp..(which I usually dont)..and all is well now... loaded 12 this morn and they chamber fine.:D
 
Glad ya got it worked out DR ,I usually size mine as large as all the chambers will handle reliably.

Not 500s just measily 357mag& 44mag:D
 
I was rather surprised that I didnt find a .500 sizer instead of the .501 that I have... course I didnt look too hard...only looked on Lee website.
