If it's factory subsonic he can ask whatever he wants because that stuff is basically unavailable to the public.
Shooting subsonic 5.7 from a handgun makes about as much sense as shooting subsonic 22-250 from a rifle.
For quiet, subsonic, slow moving .22 caliber bullets, just buy a suppressed Ruger Mark II. At $3.00 a bullet, you should be able to afford the fully suppressed pistol from savings in just over a couple hundred shots.

If you don't use it with a suppressor, I can't see the point.
If someone really needs subsonic ammo, it's time to start reloading, or pay the asking price.

Same reason you see geo metro's on craigslist for 3000 bucks, or people selling hand me down cloths at a garage sale for retail price. People think their s*** is more valuable then the cure for aids.

Not sure if you were looking for subsonic 5.7mm ammo, but these guys make it for around $1 per round, along with other 5.7mm ammo variants.
