Hi all, so this may seem like a silly question, but when they say that a 1911 has a 5" barrel on it does measure the distance from the breech face or from the end of the chamber?
You always include the chamber in an auto pistol's barrel length, and measure only the barrel itself for revolvers.
That's why when I chrono'd some rounds out of a 3" revolver and a 4" auto pistol, the revolver gave higher velocities.
