Right on time.
This past Saturday, 6 May 2K, Johnny Rowland was here in Alabama for a fun shoot and gun demo. I met with him and picked his brain a bit for info on the cartridge. The case is a strengthened .45 ACP case with a length of .955(according to the round I borrowed to measure). When I asked Why not name it .450 Rowland? Johnny said it was to keep folks from automatically associating the cartridge with the standard ACP round and try to use it in a weaker gun.
I did ask if the .460 guns would fire the .45 Super and Johnny said yes. He went on to say the Super is between the ACP and .460 in power. The .460 cartridge is loaded to the same OAL as the ACP so it will work in standard ACP magazines. The .45 WinMag has a longer case length and will not chamber correctly in a .460 gun.
The carbine unit was offered up for test firing, and it was pretty impressive. Info on the kit can be found at
www.mechtechsys.com. The carbine conversion unit (CCU) was equipped with a holosight, which made quick, accurate shots out to 100 yards a snap. Handling was very simple and the recoil was about like a .223. The CCU was fired off and on all day and if there were any malfunctions, I didn't see them.
This is definately on the wish list.

A revolver against multiple targets in a timed event is something I won't do again.
