Was planning on a 45 Super, but now considering the 460 Rowland. I know the safety /reloading issues w/Supers, etc. My concern though is that I have a project for a *hopefully* highly accurate 1911 from the ground up. For use for hunting/target...maybe bullseye.
Since the chamber of the 460 R is slightly longer, I am concerned about the potential accuracy of the barrel for shooting 45 ACP. Do you think I might wind up w/a 38 special out of a 357 mag effect?....ie. poor overall accuracy shooting 38 spcl.? My "guess" is that accuracy will suffer when shooting 45 ACP, but was wondering if there are any qualified, 'Been there/ done that' experiences, or educated guesstimates...?.....
