.45LC factory ammo for deer

I have a lever action .45LC that I'm considering using for short range whitetail hunting. I may not have time to develop my own loads so I have been looking at factory ammo. Winchester has a 225grHP and Master has a 260grHP but I am not at all familiar with either. Does anyone see those as suitable rounds?

Hi Jack,

I would advise getting the Master 260 grain load. Masters is produced by Georgia Arms. They're just up the road in Villa Rica and usually hit the Atlanta area shows. I am not sure what they specificly have in the .45LC, but they probably have a good load.

I've been doing business with them for almost ten years and have had zero problems with their ammo.

Best of luck,

Giz
