45LC/.410Ga in derringer

Hello, recently at my local gunshop I noticed that they had a 45LC/.410Ga derringer on sale for $88. I was thinking, hmmm this looks like a fair price for something I could use for plinking at the range for sh*ts and giggles, and maybe even carry it on backpacking trips for impromptu shooting. Anyone have any experience with this kind of large-caliber derringer and what it dishes out in terms of recoil? Would you consider $88 a good buy for the gun? Thanks very much for all your replies :).

P.S. Does the fact that the derringer is chambered in .45LC/.410Ga mean that you can shoot both types of ammunition from it?

As luck would have it I just sold one of these for a friend at a gun show in Jackson, MS.. It seems the folks there like these to carry in boats for snakes. Personally I question the wisdom of firing a gun into bottom of a boat there by causing it sink into a swamp. One would then find themselves in water with yet even more (unseen) snakes as well as gators. But I digress.
I sold this one for $100, which is a little high. The 88 bucks for the one you found is about the going rate for these. They are more of a novelty than anything else, however do have their uses as illustrated above......assuming you are a good swimmer. Not much to look at but very sturdy in a utilitarian way. Recoil with mild to moderate .45 cartridges is very managable and .410's aren't bad at all. As you said, they are a fun "toy" that cost very little.
