.454 Casull or .44 Magun Raging Bull

I am planning on buying a Taurus 8" Raging Bull revolver but can not decide whether to get the .454 Casull or the .44 Magnum. My dad has a S&W 629 classic .44 and I love shooting that, but I was wondering if I could spawn some discussion on whether the .454 or the .44 would be a better gun to have. I mostly do target shooting, but would like to try hunting sometime. Let me know your thoughts about power, accuracy, price, and versatility of these rounds. Thanks.

Owning both a Freedom Arms .454 revo and a coupla' three .44 mags (Ruger and Smith), I'd say for what you want to do, which is punch holes in targets or just plain plink at water filled milk jugs, get the .44 Raging Bull. Ammo is cheaper, especially if you reload. The .454 is a hunting handgun. And, while it can be "downloaded" to lesser resulting pressures, why do that? My Freedom Arms .454 with 300 gr. bullets in factory ammo can be fired comfortably for only about 20-25 rounds before I need something with a little less recoil. In fact, if you get both, you can fire the .454 first for 10 rounds or so and then switch to the .44 mag. The .44 mag will feel like a .22. I found it great for fighting flinching at the range. :)
