What guns are chambered for this cartridge? What is the difference between this and 45 Winchester Magnum or 45 Super? How do the ballistics compare to those of the 40 Super?

The 450 SMC is essentially a 45 Super with a different primer to get around some patent issues with the 45 Super.

So whatever happened to the 45 Winchester Magnum? I know there were a few guns chambered for it. And I actually can find ammo in that caliber. What's the deal?
