I purchased my 45 Colt Mountain Gun to use as a lightweight powerhouse when hiking. At that time, there were no factory loads available in 45 Colt that approximated 44 Mag ballistics.
This gun has the beefed-up lockwork and should prove strong enough for most sane loads that are approved for the Rugers. My question is this: has anyone been able to buy the new CorBon 265gr. load for the 45 Colt and, if so, how did you find the accuracy to be in your handgun? BTW, this load will only see limited use as I am quite sure the recoil will be significant.
Look forward to hearing from the members.
