.45 Colt - 360 Cast Performance

I have some on back order just for fun. Their 325's work well for me, and Hodgdon posts tested loads for H110. Does anyone have experience to share with heavy bullets like this? Ruger Blackhawk, of course.

Thanks. My BH has a 7 1/2" barrel, so that data is right on. Hodgdon lists 21.0 H110 as max with the 360.

I shoot 340s in my Ruger Bisley, and for a lighter but still powerful load I use 10 gr. of Longshot with a standard primer for about 850 fps. For an extra couple hundred feet per second, I use the same bullet and 20 gr. of 4227.

I've shot 357 grain cast lead bullets from Hunter in my Blackhawk using H110. Stout recoil but not unbearable.
