.45 Autos with Mags holding more than 10 rds

What .45 autos have mags which hold more than 10 rounds (if you can find the pre-ban mags)? I mean mags which do not extend below the grip. I know about the Star Megastar (12 rds) and the Glock 21 (13 rds). Are there any others? Of course the standard 1911 held only seven rounds, and the Rugers hold eight. One reason the Taurus 145 is so attractive is that it features a 10 rd mag in a small, light package, but I am aware of the problems with this DAO pistol.

You mean to say that you never heard of Para Ordinance? They were the most practical hi-cap .45's, in my opinion. I believe if you buy a new one they still come with a coupon good for two pre-ban hi-caps by mail.

As far as current production is concerned, the Wilson KZ-45 is a good one to try.

H&K USP full-size in .45ACP holds 12.

Glock 21 holds 13.

Para-Ordnance P12-45 holds 12, P13-45 holds 13, and P14-45 holds 14.

Star Megastar holds 12 as well.

That's about all I can think of...the list of hi-cap .45s is not a very long one.

I think the reason there aren't more "hi-cap" .45ACP pistols is that the list of hands that hold them well is also a small one! :) I have a Glock 21, and I'm considering putting the grip on a diet, it's too large. :D

There are several wide-body 1911-style pistols on the market: Entreprise, Springfield, STI, Dan Wesson. I wonder if any of them will accept Para-Ordnance 14-round mags.
