.45 acp

I do load for .45 however I do not put loads on the net. May I suggest buying a book? I like the Lyman 50th.
 
Yes. Go to the Hodgdon sight linked to above. Select .45 ACP in the Step 1 window, 230 grains in the Step 2 window, skip Step 3 and select CFE Pistol in Step 4. You will get both lead and Jacketed FP bullet data below. Check that the Extreme bullet COL is about the same. If it is shorter, knock another 5% off the starting charge and work up while watching for pressure signs.
 
A Xtreme 230g HP is just a plated bullet. Uses cast bullet data. Use the LRN data on Hodgdon's site. You do not need bullet specific data.

We can at least carry one in the states.

Because they are trying to convince newbies that plated are something "special". T. OHeir is correct - just use lead data.

It's not a ruse, its a report.

it's a report of what they got with the components they used. That includes the gun, which was not YOUR gun. Your gun, & load components could be the same, or could be different. When the stars line up just right, they could be vastly different.
