45 acp silenced rifle?

I remeber seeing a photo of a British SMLE modified to shoot the 45 acp. I believe it had an integral suppressor. what do you guys think about the idea of recreating this rifle, suppressed for those who legally can. I know the ballistics, you don't have to tell me what it would be like at even moderate range. But it would be fun. Alex
 
The most popular rifle currently being suppressed is the marlin camp carbine in .45 acp. The hard part is finding one. You could have it done with an integral suppressor or you could just have the barrel threaded for an external suppressor. Gemtech makes a great can. As far as your idea is concerned it sounds great but I wonder if it is cost effective.
