.45 ACP load suggestion

Don't know if this is the right forum to ask this, but here goes.

I just received as part of a trade a 500-round box of 185 gr. cast SWC bullets. None of my reloading manuals list this slug.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good load for practice cartridges?

I'll appreciate any suggestions.
 
I'd go with 5.5 gr of 231, or 4.9 gr of Red Dot or Bullseye. All those loads will give you around 800 FPS, a pretty mild load.
 
185 SWC

Hey Brazos:

A nice target load uses 4.1 gr. of VVN310.

N320 works well too and a good place to start is about 4.8 grains, working up for accuracy and reliable cycling.

For other suggestions check your manuals. You can use any recipe that features a 200 gr swc. There should be lots of them.
