.45 ACP - In and Out

Looking for your experience/knowledge on the expulsion potential for a typical FMJ 230 grain bullet (ball) with respect to human body weight.

I know there are variables, but for these purposes please assume that there is one, and only one, "perfect" path through COM - the path of least resistance. For this "study" I don't care what or where that path might be, but I want to know (best possible, probable, or known):

distance in feet that the aforesaid .45 ACP FMJ 230g ball bullet entering COM and travelling the "perfect" path WILL EXIT a human body of 225lbs, 185lbs, and 145lbs.
 
I have been studying and researching this subject (handgun selfdefense) since the early 1970's. I doubt if anyone can answer your question with any authority. Sorry!
 
ACADEMIC EXCERCISE

Computer modeling 'might' give you an answer, but I have four different "typical" 230g "BALL" bullets in my shop right now, and none are the same in construction or materials.

Ditto human bodies.
Or air pressure, humidity, elevation, temperature.

Common sense at least suggests that smaller bodies will provide less impediment to a similar bullet, but NO formula (at this point in time; got some Cray time?) can account for the variables.


Plus, I NEVER carry "BALL" in my 45's (or any other gun I carry).

many variables.:) ... let's see if I can clarify:

a. What: I'm looking for a thumb rule allowing a "best guess" at what distance the "typical" .45ACP ball will exit what I'm estimating are the three general weight categories of 225lbs, 185lbs, and 145lbs. I understand many conditions are involved but there must be some sort of working distances available.

b. Why: I don't know the answer and I should (at the very least) have a decent idea/estimate if I have to unleash a dangerous, free-wheeling missile into, and perhaps through, a human body - and it's the "through" that is the concern of this post because I don't want to harm others. And why ball? Because I currently use it ... and I would suspect it would be the more expectant exiter (over HPs, etc.)

c. Where: Anywhere - but the home area is important since it is a group of townhomes clustered in groups of five units around a cul de sac and street. Distances range from 150 feet down to maybe ten. It is, as an example, twent-one feet from my ground level porch to the driveway - straight line. This coincides with the tactical seven yards we all know where split-second decisions are made.

I'd just like to know that a pass-through might not happen at some point on that walkway if I launched at, say, further out than closer. Aside from home, most other areas are close situations - stores, malls, streets, etc. all offer the same problem.
