Anyone know where I might find a bore gauge for a .45 ACP

I've only ever owned one for .30 Cal rifles because the military rifles used to get so much cleaning from the muzzle that it funneled the muzzles. For other calibers, I slug them with a Hornady swaged lead ball a little large for the caliber. Run an oily patch through the bore. Tap the ball into the muzzle with a plastic head hammer, then gently push it out from the other end with a cleaning rod and mic it. If you are working with a blind breech end, put an appropriate length of dowel or brass rod in first and push the slug out with that afterward. It isn't hard to push out unless you make the mistake of using a cast bullet alloy instead of pure lead.

Not for slugs. You need an OD mic for them.
I think the gauge he is looking for is just a tapered hardened steel plug whose taper spans the range of acceptable bore diameters. It drops in at the muzzle and engraved bands mark each thousandth of diameter. The advantage it has over the dial bore gauge is it works equally well with either odd or even numbers of lands.
