.45 ACP, 10 round options?

".45 ACP, 10 rd options."

AFAIK, the .45acp CZ 97B is a 10+1 option.

Likewise, the similarly designed .45 Witness may also be a 10 rounder.

Glock 21/21C/30
CZ 97
HK USP45
EAA Witness .45/Witness P .45
Wilson Combat KZ-45
Para-Ordinance P14/13/12/10
STI/SVI
Kimber polymer
Any 1911 with extended magazines

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Are you required to stick to DAO or is that your own idea?

DAO .45 ACP? Unless you count a Glock as a DAO (which, technically it isn't) I dunno. I think the double-stack Para-Ords are available in the LDA double-action version too.

My own idea.

Basis: Variation in trigger pull in a SA/DA can cause inaccuracy, especially under stress. (YMMV.) But I'm open to counterveiling opinions.

Had I not had this idea and doggedly pursued it trying to extract a USP .45 var7 from H&K, I'd have had a .45 by now, in all likelihood...

Doesn't the Sig 220 carry 10+1? Can't remember. What about the Beretta Cougar, any 10 rounders available for that one? There is a .45 acp hi-power clone running around somewhere, but can't remember the capacity (not that I'd rely on that gun). I thought Taurus had a polymer .45 with 10+1 as well (Pt-145??). What about ruger? Hmm, all I sem to be doing is mentioning every gun maker not already brought up. I'll stop now :) LAter.

The USP can be carried cocked n' locked so you don't have to transition DA/SA, you also have LEM trigger you can have installed, or you can just practice that DA/SA more...it's really not a big deal ;)

Kermit,

Has HK announced LEM trigger group availability other than on their LEM .40 USPc? It is my understanding that this is not available on the USP45f, and that they are not currently offering it as a retro for other HKs.

Mec-Gar makes 10-round magazines for the SIG Sauer P220 and the Smith & Wesson 4506, either of which can be converted to DAO in a few minutes.

I know it may be a forbidden gun right now but you can "look" at the Taurus PT-145. It is .45acp and it is DAO and a full 10 rounds. The only thing is that it is having a problem with Frames cracking. Don't know if they've fixed the problem yet.

Why not buy a couple of 10rd mags from Wilson Combat for your 1911! I bought some for my Practical Shooters League! Excellent option, only about an inch to long!
