45/70 Question and 22 Hornet info (Handi-Rifle)

Two reasons for this posting

1) I acquired a Handi-Rifle in 22 hornet a few years ago and have had good luck with it. This photo (if it shows up) was taken right after I started reloaing hornets. The outer diameter of the target is 2" (at 100 yds.), with some experimentation I have cut the group almost in half. Its not a one-holer but its not too bad for a $150 rifle with a $35 tasco riding on it... Makes the WhistlePigs tremble anyhow!!!!

I recently got another handi-rifle in 45/70. Problem is, I don't know how far I can go with it pressurewise? I know it is stronger than the old Springfields, but I'm not about to load it up to Ruger #1 specs either. Cant find any info on it.

Anyone out there know anything about this?
If so, please let me know, or any info or stories about the handi-rifle you care to share.

Oh yeah,
Reason 2) To see if I could get a photo posted in this message board.

I had a post that should answer your question, it is under H&R 45-70 loads. I passed on the rifel and will hold out on a guide gun. Hope it helps.
