.44mag PMC starfire bullets

HI Guys
Has anybody ever used these bullets hunting?
I'll be taking a .44 mag as a back up on an Elk hunting trip this fall in Western Washington. No bears are anything like that
just lots of fog and rain that might not let me use my scoped rifle. They will be loaded with Max charge of H-110 in my 10" contender.
Any reply’s will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

A good friend has popped a few whitetails with'em. They work OK for our 110 pound deer. I would go with a hard cast bullet, either Federal's or Garretts. Based on some of the big stuff I've shot, the SWC would penetrate better and that's exactly what I would want.

Giz is right. If you are not going to load your own, spend the extra money and go with Federal, Buffalo Bore or Garrett. Preferably, Garrett. He is your neighbor, support him. Hunting trips are getting more expensive every year. Having your dream animal get away because of poor ammo selection, stinks. Spent the extra $40 for the best that you can get your hands on.

Yall are probably right, I posted this question on a few other messages boards and got the same answer. If I even take it, I'll probably go with a super hard cast like Garrett or something similar.
Thanks for the reply
