.44 'Manglum' ammo for practice?

When I get my new Ruger SuperRedhawk, I'll need to buy 500+ rounds of something to learn to shoot it with.

What's a good brand and weight for this? ( I'm looking to at least qualify at the range at 25-yds., off-hand ).


I've seen CCI Blazer 240-gr. for CHEAP, but I don't know if that's the best way to go.

Adding this before I take off to go drive a Bus...

I used some HSM .357 ammo ONCE. It was the dirtiest crap I've ever shot. Anybody know why HSM's ammo is so dirty? I don't wish to experience that again, but I'd like to know why it was SO dirty.
 
Hey, I love answering my own questions --- it makes me look like I'm right all the time... ;)

I got an answer on another Forum saying the Blazer will be OK for my intended use at this time.

I CANNOT answer the 'HSM' dirty ammo question, though, so I'll need some help out there. Please. :confused:
