my local gunshop has a blued 44 magnum 4" revolver used for 379.00 the finish is ok except on the cylinder it has a spot that is rubed off to the bare medal.do you guys think this is a good price for this gun i was consedering if buying sending it to sw for refinishing.in the end will i put out to much money

If it's blued then it'll be a M29 ... the 629 is the stainless. Be interesting too to look inside frame with crane swung out to see what version. M29-2, M29-3 ... whatever .. a chance to age it.

The blued N frames are pretty much in demand and on the face of it that seems (to me) a better than average price. A small amount of bluing missing would not be a biggie to me for that money - providing .... lockup and timing are good.

IMO a good M29 could be in the $400 to $450 price range.
