.44 Magnum Desert Eagle

I went by one of my usual shops today to pick up some ammo and the dealer told me that he had a Desert Eagle .44 Magnum in seemingly excellent mechanical condition (a bit of cosmetic imperfection, though) for 800 dollars. That thing is huge and it feels like it weighs close to six pounds.

I love it. Is this handgun worth $800 as the new ones are so expensive?
 
well, I got my Mark I two tone .357 for $695. course, the dealer had just got it in, and not knowing alot about DEs...didn't quite realize what he had under the glass there...Heh.

But $800 for a .44Mag is pretty good anyway you look at it.
What type of Cosmetic Blemish does it have? And what model is it? Probably a VII or XIX? and what finish?
 
It's not stainless, so I'm assuming it's been blued. The only wear that I saw is some wearing of the finish and a few scuffed places.
