Min expansion: N/A

Interesting Vid Clip! I'd toyed with getting a mold for those, but .452" 180gr. seemed light to me, and I don't own a .44 Mag. And I think I squandered my bullet-mold $$ on something frivolous, like rent, food, tuition, or some low-priority thing....

If they'd make a mold that'd throw a heavier (say, 215gr & up) bullet in .452" I'd DEFINITELY be a player! I guess in a .45 ACP, the heavier projectile's length might decrease case capacity, thus velocity, unless the round is loaded to +P levels. Even so, it'd be a 1/2 ounce projectile. How fast would it REALLY need to go? At 700 f/s, even if the hollow point did no more than "mash shut", that's plenty of capacity to end a fight.

Launched from a .45 Colt cartridge at 1000 f/s, I suspect it would live up to its name admirably.

Because this is a gun forum and we like to talk about gun stuff on gun forums. That's actually what the purpose of a forum is.

Yep, there's that lol!! It is a fragmenting little sucker.

The recoil certainly looks impressive.
Not so sure about the bullet, though.
All that fragmentation, especially at the very front of the gelatin, wouldn't seem effective for too many situations.

I tend to agree, mostly. It would really mess up a human, though, and the core gets deep enough to be considered for larger animal defense. It might be a good choice for a sort of multipurpose woods defense load. I'm not really convinced of that, though.
