44 Mag 185 grain relaod recipe

I was handed a box of 44 Mag 185 grain jacketed bullets. I can't find load data for 185 grain bullets but a lot of 180 grain load data is available. If I use the 180 grain data, do I need to make any adjustments in the amount of powder?

Well, the old rule of thumb: Cut starting charges by 10% and work up. Check data for 200 gr. bullets also.

Yep, those are some kind of .45 ACP bullets, though a trifle small for that. I bought some bulk bullets about a hundred years ago that were 185 gr. JHP's and they were .450" diameter.

You can use the bullets in 45 acp or 45 Colt or several other .45 calibers ....just not in the 44 magnum.
In reloading....the details do matter.
